The webcam points approximately SE, from the top of Maungaraki. This means that the predominant NW wind comes from behind the camera. Where rain is showing on the image, this is likely to have come from the South, although occasionaly spots appear on strong NW days.The view is across Maungaraki, Lower Hutt, Petone, Seaview and over towards the Wainuiomata Hills
